I can't believe he didn't get the Oscar!

I will admit that I have not seen The King and I, so I won't make any remark on how Douglas and not Brynner should have won, since I've learned that the majority of films that have won various Oscars really are good films/performances/etc, despite pre-determined conceptions without actually seeing the film. But I was very impressed with Kirk Douglas in this film. I have not seen many of his films and consequently don't know too much about him like I should. But I'd recommend this to anyone, regardless of an interest in Van Gogh or not.
