Marni Nixon's Voice Was the Perfect Match

I've heard Marni Nixon in West Side Story and My Fair Lady and I have to say The King and I is the best vocal match with the leading actress. Her voice perfectly matches Deborah Kerr's speaking voice. If I didn't know better, I'd swear Deborah was doing her own singing. Much better than Natalie Wood or Audrey Hepburn.

I think Nixon's voice fit this role beautifully as well. I think she was least convincing singing for Wood in WEST SIDE STORY...her attempt at sounding Puerto Rican doesn't really come off.
