Questions, comments, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera!

#1.} When child #9 comes to Anna, then goes to the other kids, The king says, "Oh!" and the kid holds her hands to her mouth like she did something wrong. What did I miss?

#2.} Does anyone know who played the last one? He was late, runs between the king's legs, & bows. The the king picks him up (STILL in this position! LOL!) and sets him down with the others. Again, who played THAT child? He looks familiar.

#3.} What is the name of the dance that was performed in the classroom with the fan? That was COOL!

#4.} When Anna was talking to Lun Tha, she called Bangkok "the city of women". WAS it called that, or was that just a line in the movie?

#5.} What is the name of the LARGE clothing she was wearing over her skirt? She took it off prior to Edward Ramsey's arrival.

#6.} After Sir John Hay toasted the king, it was SO cool of him to return the toast to the Queen of England!

#7.} What does "To the Queen!" mean?

#8.} Why does an audience yell, "Author!" ?

#1 The girl turned her back to the King and Mrs. Anna. Notice that all kids walk backwards after greeting Anna.

#4 I believe that she doesn't refer to Bangkok in general but only to the part of the palace where the king's harem resided and where even the guards were women.

#8 The king's guests were impressed by the siamese version of Uncle Tom's Cabin, which had been written by Tuptim. They wanted her to appear on stage to applaude her, but she had escaped with Lun Tha.
