We desperately need an official DVD or Blu-ray release of this movie, now! :)

I totally agree. Why has this film - It Conquered the World (1957) not been put into that format? Also I was a teenage Frankenstein (1957) and I was a Teenage Werewolf (1956) too.

What the heck is the holdup? From the 1950s until now and nothing yet. Amazing. There is a market for those too.

I would really like to know why they have not been placed on DVD?

The rights to those films (including IT CONQUERED) are controlled by an old lady -- Arkoff's widow? -- who simply refuses to license them for home video.

the ''reason'' this wonderful film & other A.I.P. classics are NOT on DVD is ''thanks'' to Susan Hart the widow of A.I.P. Founder James H. Nicholson. this young Harlot seduced him, making him leave his first wife & eventually marry her. suffice it to say, he was dead within a few years! in recent times ive heard shes gone off her rocker & ''refuses'' to release her late husbands films on DVD. she apparently doesnt care about the many fans who want to add these movies to their collections.she is literally holding these films for ransom. what a damn shame!

Considering your description of her, wouldn't she love the opportunity to make lots of money off the DVD's and Blu-ray's? ;)

you would certainly THINK so. but apparently & sadly that is definitely NOT the case. ive heard from reliable sources that she has been approached by different DVD companies & she has refused all of them. as to exactly WHY is a matter of conjecture. it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. oh well. i luckily have ''bootleg'' copies of Teenage Werewolf, Teenage Frankenstein, the Amazing colossal Man, It Conquered the world & Invasion of the Saucermen. all really good prints burned off of vhs tapes from the 90s. i will continue to pester different dvd companies to see if they can ''persuade'' the witch to finally release these films from her icy grip! we shall see.
