Not a 'Lost Classic' by any means...
Hepburn never really decides what she's in: a screwball comedy or theater of the absurd.
Not that the script gives her much to work with.
As for Bob Hope, this movie doesn't even rank with his better films.
I can see it working with Cary Grant opposite Hepburn, as it was originally written.
I guess the last minute re-writing by Hope's team didn't allow for better comic foibles by Hope. No real great one-liners here.
I can understand why Bob Hope kept this film out of circ for decades. I'd much rather see a "Road" picture or "The Seven Little Foys" than this snoozefest.
