I've lost track of how many times I have seen this movie but every time it is on, I can't look away. The movie is fantastic. Intelligent, scary, and perfectly executed.

This and "The Thing" are the best of the 50s. And that's saying a lot, with the rest of the great sci-fi from that decade.

This movie still works because of the masterful simplicity of Don Siegel's direction and the ingenious premise.

Agreed. As Leonardo Da Vinci said, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication."

At least I heard he said that.
