Calvary charge, prison break too violence-free


Being a 1950s Disney flick, they apparently didn't want to show any killing or even wounding. This is a little hard to do in a war movie and still maintain credibility. The climatic prison break was a little too sanitized to be believable.

Yeah, it was a little silly how during the initial sequence of the prison break you have like 20 armed guards and yet none of them are actually firing shots until a few minutes in.

Still, I give Disney credit for trying something a little darker than their usual fare, even if the result is flawed.
