Robby got DRUNK???

Im not too sure how it was said, but the Cook seems to tell the Captain that he and Robby ended up drunk together.

"...soon we ended up toasting each other."

Now I can understand the cook getting drunk, but could Robby? He seemed the strictly mechanical type. He could replicate the alcohol, but I'm not sure he could be physically affected by it.

And I don't the the cook was a 100% reliable witness. Probably only describing from his point of view.

I am - SUPERFLUOUS!!!

Just for good interplanetary relations y'understand.

Obviously Robby would have been "imbibing" with lube oil.

reply

Come on, you can't take the drunk cook's word for it.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

reply

I hope you don't think I could get that stiff in 5 minutes.

And without a trace of hangover -- now that ain't natural.

To answer the OP, Robby didn't get drunk, he just drank for cordial interplanetary relations. The cook got drunk, but no hangover...and he's also Robby's alibi witness that the robot didn't kill the chief. Hic!

Are you sure you know what "toasting" means? "Toasting each other" doesn't mean they got each other drunk.

Actually that's exactly what it means, it's called a figure of speech.

reply

No, Robbie did not get drunk, but he did drink with the Cook.
