how much does clint eastwood get

No idea, as this is the only Eastwood movie I haven't seen. Does it even exist on VHS or DVD?

Not too bad for a young actor. He was Carol Channing's love interest -- Handsome, a little shy, and pretty heroic.
Just watched this today on TCM for the first time.

I recorded it when I saw Ginger and Barry's names and was more pleased when I saw the other names James Arness, Clint and a few of the others.
I might have seen this film when I was either 9 or 10.

If I may a little history:

Back in the day films played in major cities at only one or two houses for a few months (Ben Hur played at New York's Loew's Capitol for over a year) then they would open at a few more theatres and at last open wide.
This process took a while.

Then in I think 1962 UNITED ARTISTS started Premier Showcase where films would open at more houses right away and not too much later open wide quicker.

Other studios took up this process as well.

In closing back then if a film opened in 1956 you might not see it till 1957

I used a stopwatch on my phone and Clint Eastwood gets about 2 1/2 minutes of screen time - at the most. Oh, and you have to wait for about half an hour into the film to first see him.
