Ford Served In WWII + Vietnam!

A true hero in real life, he convincingly plays a coward in this movie.

Love Glenn Ford. In real life and in the movies, he personified grace under pressure.

I was surprised to find Ford had written an autobiography around this time--GLENN FORD BEVERLY HILLS RFD about his efforts to get his son Peter to eat his vegetables by starting a garden.

One reason I wanted to read it was my father went to high school with Ford and used to tell his Army buddies about his famous friend. I asked Dad if he and Ford had ever stolen potatoes from a local vendor to roast in their backyards, and Dad asked where I ever got that idea! Apparently not.

I lost the book and a few years ago I wrote to Peter to ask where I could find a copy, but he never wrote back.
