How explicit is the nudity in this Fifties French film?

I see that IMDB has noted it has "Female Nudity." But this is the 1950's for goodness sake. Is the nudity graphic or is the movie discreet enough for family viewing?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

No exactly a timely reply but I just watched this movie tonight.

The opening scene has Juliete sun bathing nude, most of the scene is implied nudity while her body is obscured, but there is a sequence showing her laying in profile. I found the pose very artistic.

The entire movie showcases Bardot's body and sensuality.

I'll stay away from answering "discreet enough for family viewing" because every family their own sensibility about what is appropriate.

Sure you're not joking?
There aren't any ... erm ... private parts to be seen. So that's all it needs to get it "free" to persons of all ages. Anything different from that would just be sheer idiocy.

There's nothing to see that you wouldn't find on network TV around 10pm. In fact it's much more tame, because the "nudity" is artistic nudity (sunbathing or swimming), not "sexual situations" nudity which is all we see today.

Quite simply, it's not explicit at all. 1956 was a different time and what was considered racy (especially in the US here) is hardly that anymore. Bardot in this movie was more of a free, wild spirit than an exhibitionist, but that is where her sexiness derives from, besides being darn good looking. After seeing this as a teenager in the early '70s us guys were thinking, "Is THIS what the big deal is about??" I agree with the previous poster that it was more 'arty' than 'x-rated'. Also the previews at the time made it sound completely like a sex spectacle, but the parts shown in the preview were just about all the raciest bits in the movie.

Vadim just beautifully showed Bardot's perfect body. Nothing more.

Viva Bardot!

Why don't you just sell all your possessions and build yourself a cave, far far away from the possibility of EVER seeing anyone's filthy body...once you get there, make sure you gouge your eyes out in case you ever happen to glance at yourself...

Problem solved...

Wow, veryape, you look to be exhibiting the exact same intolerance that you deride in the target of your tantrum. If people have different viewpoints on issues, do you really need to get ugly about it? Just saying...
