One of the best B.B. films ever!

Without a doubt.

The other B.B. films worth watching are:

La Verite (1960)
En cas de malheur (1957)
Boulevard du Rhum (1970)
L’Ours et la Poupee (1969)
Voulez-vous danser avec moi? (1959)
Babette s’en va-t-en guerre (1959)
Une Parisienne (1957)
Cette sacree gaimne (1955)
Les Petroleuses (1971)

oh, and of course:
Viva Maria (1965)
Vie privee (1961)
Et Dieu crea la femme (1956)

Viva Bardot!

I wouldn't go that far, but it was a cute soufflé of a comedy (with a great score BTW) and well done. It was most of all very unusual to see her playing the part of the "outraged virgin", since I only know her post Et Dieu Créa work. Doris Day would have played this kind of part in her 60's comedies heyday!

True, true with the DD mention! You should check BB's "Une Parisienne" it's even better and cuter and funnier than Marguerite and even more DD;) still ahead of the DD's prime as it's from 1957!

"Une Parisienne" is DVRd and next in line. I was very annoyed that they didn't play half of the BB films slated on TCM for August 23rd, but at least got to see Les Grandes Manoeuvres, Marguerite and next up Parisienne. I so wanted to see Le Repos du Guerrier, but they put in some terrible Ann Margret in Paris movie instead.
