in the ending of eddy duchin story,he was playing the piano with his son and suddenly he got hand cramps again and then he just vanished...where did he go?under the piano???in the piano????dissapeared?

I think it was meant to be a time lapse, where one minute he was there and then the movie jumped ahead after his death, showing that Chiquita and Peter would go on without him. I thought it was weird too -- I thought at first he'd dropped dead at the piano!
shareI think the ending was more symbolic than anything else. It's just meant to show that Peter and Chiquita are left alone, and that Peter is going to carry on in his father's tradition.
