Nat Brandwynne - Eddy Duchin's relief pianist

In real life, he was the relief pianist in Eddy Duchin's orchestra so ED would not have to play all night long.

In the film, when ED's hand cramps while he is playing at the Starlight Roof in the Waldorf-Astoria hotel in NYC, he says to one of the musicians - "Take over, Nat".

Question - who is this actor? No IMDB credit for him. Is it Nat Brandwynne?

And earlier in the film there is a pianist playing with Leo Resiman's band. Is it the same actor and is it supposed to be Nat Brandwynne?

I just saw the film again for the upteenth time and I was wondering.

Not much is written about Brandwynne. I remember he passed on in 1978 and then the papers did a write up on him and his life. A good pianist he was.

His daughter, Marcia Brandwynne, did local news here in Los Angeles for a number of years.
