On Aussie cable tv tonight - loved it!

Seen this many moons ago on a rainy day. It was a midday movie or something. The music meant nothing to me then ,but sure does now. I am not a great lover of the beginning of rock. I am a 60's fan, but this was wonderful to re-live this fictional tale when rock and roll was new. And feared. It all seems so innocent and gentle. But the music sure is great. I was blown away by Bill Haley and the Comets "Hot dog, buddy, buddy". Never heard it before, and i really liked it.

The movie is pure cornball, "cashing in". After all, rock was considered but a passing phase. But the film is a delight never the less. And some of them gals wear the most amazingly short (and tight!) shorts. Quite funny that no one seems to mind that. And it's pretty obvious some of the jitterbugging guys would rather be dancing with other fella's, but hey, its all good clean fun.

Rock is still going. The Stones began only 6 years after this movie.

I guess the Devil won.
