Of course, when he later had bigger budgets, the cheap feel disappeared. DTWE is very entertaining.

Most of the 1950's Sci-Fi movies had little or no budget. Once you get past this, this was a good movie. The best Sci-Fi movies were all made in the 1950's

Hey, what do you expect for a nine day shoot? I think it's amazing what he did with what little he had. In ALL his movies!

It wasn´t silly enough to be truly entertaining. Nor was it "good" as some people on this board insist as its stale, largely uninvolving drama comes with lots of ridiculous dialogue and wooden acting.

now i tghoguht it was good but the mutant at the end was kinda cheesy imo.
