shareI have been looking for this film also. Actually I am in possesion of the actual 16mm reels, but have been looking for a copy on DVD or VHS, as it might be expensive (and illegal?) to copy it from the 16mm.
My father Robert Lewin wrote the script and it was the start of a long active career in Hollywood. I have been wanting to just get it on DVD and dupe about 10 copies for the family and friends to watch. The story is based on his own experiences in the war which makes it extra meaningful for us. It was also an academy award nominee for best screenplay, and was thought to be a shoe-in until they re-categorized The Red Balloon, and it won. Ironically, The Red Balloon of course had NO DIALOGUE! Oh, well, that's show biz...
Actually, today is the one year anniversary of his passing away, so I was inspired to renew my search.
Any info on The Bold and the Brave would be quite appreciated.
