Wow, what a movie!

I never liked Marilyn Monroe, and I was unfamiliar with Diana Dors, except that she was supposed to be Britain's version of MM, and that was enough for me to not want to see her movies.

But wow. I mean wow. First of all, she was genuinely beautiful, stunningly beautiful, much more so than MM ever was. And the other thing, she really could act. Fantastic performance in this movie.

And this movie was incredible! I never heard of it before, and it's a shame because it is one of the best anti death penalty movies I've ever seen (and I'm pro-death penalty, so if it impressed me, it really is THAT good.)

Now I have to watch more of her movies. What a beautiful woman, and what an amazing actress!

...All you say s'mines is true, D.D. was a talented actress, and beautiful.

It's difficult to know if the superficial studio system alone, killed her career (I mean, your 'spot on' about the wowful publicity this film received at the hands of unscrupulous 'Meat Market' American distributors!) or her flamboyant lifestyle may have added to this? Around this time, she made another interesting film " A Kid for Two Farthings" If not seen, worth catching up with.

I remember this Movie being screened on TV (when they were still using 'film') But, the Digital copy now being screened (7Arts)on local Australian commercial television is appalling, bad contrast, soft focus, and, with the original execution ending choped off!! --they don't seem to care!-- (it's little wonder they are going broke) Is this all you are getting in the the UK also....?
