I just saw The Black Sleep last night and I was really impressed with it. I actually liked it. Most low budget horror flicks bore me but this one held my interest. It was well acted and I was very impressed by Basil Rathbone's performance. It was cool to see Herbert Rudley , who is probably only remembered as Eve Arden's husband on The Mother's In law sitcom from the late 1960's.

Me, three, FilmSon! I was pleasantly surprised at the casting, the sets, and the overall atmosphere of this movie. Loved the intro voiceover, too! I had read about the film before and was excited to see that TCM Underground would be showing it. It's by no means a great horror movie, but it's plenty of fun. As one of the commenters put it, it's a good choice for a rainy Friday night.

shareTwo years later I get another opportunity to watch this film.....on Netflix. I forgot what I had rated it. I just could not sit through it. I gave it a 3 again. No, I'm not going to add those two ratings and give it a 6! LOL
