Just when you think "turner classic movies" will always show that crummy "Panned and scanned" scratcy print forever....guess what? Last night (8-6-07) TCM came up with a Letterboxed print! Thanks TCM for correcting a bad mistake from the past. Everybody...next time TCM shows the film...tune in.

Someone should tell Encore Movies. I'm watching a "pan and scan" version of the movie which is very detrimental to my enjoyment of the film. (I DVR'd it off the Encore Western Channel back in February 2010 and am just now getting around to watching it.) Interesting that Ursula Thiess just passed away last month well into her 80's. I kept thinking of Ingrid Bergman and not her "fellow Countryman" Marlene Dietrich as I watched her.
shareWatching letterboxed version now on TCM HD. Pan and Scan definitely would have killed this.
