I'm sure it's good, but they made us watch it so many times

I need to watch this again 35 years later. It's probably a wonderful film, but when I was a kid my parents' artsy friends and my artsy school and the local library and just about anyone who had any contact with kids had an absolute mania for it, with the result that I must have seen this film around 12 times between the ages of three and seven. By then I was heartily sick of it. But it seemed like each new adult was in raptures at the opportunity to introduce us young people to the wonders of this "masterpiece" so I felt like I had to pretend to love it.
