So I anointed this claptrap when I saw it years ago. I just read Bosley Crowther's original New York Times review, and he skewered the performances too.

shareI thought the performances were wonderful. Nancy Kelly's performance as the mother in desperation who was close to the end of her rope was particularly incredible. Her acting gave me goosebumps and even brought me close to tears in several scenes. It really inspired an emotional response from me because with her acting I could feel the character's emotions as though I were feeling them myself. That's how amazing she was. Overall, I think this is an awesome movie.

So what! There are a lot of movie critics who do the same thing that we all do....offer our own opinions! A lot of us enjoyed this movie and are interested in discussing all of it's psychological references; however disturbing they may be!
If you don't like this movie....why waste your time coming here to tell us?
If you thought you were going to change our minds about liking this picture...EPIC FAIL!
