Raven--Greatest Diva Character Ever?

I think so! She ruled! Sharon Gabet was perfection in this role!

Professional Jayne Mansfield fanatic/loverâ„¢ since 1980.

You know you hear people say that Susan Lucci is a diva, I'm sorry but Sharon Gabet as Raven is the best.

Yes. Juanin Clay was fine and seductive in the role, but Sharon's huge expressive eyes, her dazzle, and her mischief brought the character out and brightened up (abc)'s LOVE IN THE AFTERNOON theme.

God, how I miss Monticello. It still lives in my heart and head, I just wish we could peak in (again) to that crime-infested, melodramatic city to see what's going on TODAY there!
Same with Somerset and Bay City. Joked on the EDGE yahoo group about having private real estate in all three cities. The Whitneys would make classy neighbors!

Port Charles has gotten so dark and unrecognizeable,it hasn't been FUN since the early 90s. Monticello, Somerset, and Collinsport were all gothic and creepy, but they were FUN, like a scary amusement park ride. GH just looks BAD ,as do most of the characters and actors on there now.

I agree Port Charles doesn't hold anything to Monticello,Somerset,or Collinsport. The soap opera "Port Charles" ok,dark, gothic. "General Hospital" dark and boring.

Raven was the best!

You know I have to agree about Sharon as Raven. I saw when Juanin Clay played her and she didn't grow on me but then she wasn't really in the role long enough. I usually do not like the actors that end up playing the roles after the originals but in this case Sharon was wonderful. I usually just don't like mean evil characters such as Joan Collins character on Dynasty. She was never likable to me but Raven had her moments. I would watch her and be so angry at her for stuff she did but never hate her. I just thought she was fun, the bad one that you loved to hate and you also liked her too. She could be good sometimes but then change back and forth. I guess she was just a little girl inside who just was conflicted.

It is so interesting that is all the acting Sharon did. I read on IMDB I think on her messageboard that she became a teacher I think and that her own daughter has replied on IMDB but that was a while back when I read that.

After the cancellation of EON, Sharon Gabet did play a major role on One Life to Live for a couple of years ... but all of us still missed the sparkle, verve and insouciance Raven Whitney displayed.

Sharon Gabet was a much better "diva" than Susan Lucci, Sharon was truly "an American Beauty"! LOL
