Ann Flood ? Sharon Gabet ? Forrest Compton ? Where are they now?

Anyone have any news on these talented actors for the most beloved soap? I read on the internet the Lois Kibbie died of a brian tumor? I loved her character Geraldine, she was too much! Would love to Edge of Night make a comeback but I guess bringing back a soap would be hard with things on tv the way they are. I thought this show was a wonderful mix of mystery and drama. I loved the court room type conflict they had. I didn't watch it when Dixie Carter was on it but would have loved to see her play an attorney with style and pinash! Do any of you think that they will ever put out dvd sets like the did with Dark Shadows? I would love to see some of the people I always thought of as friends. I guess I started watching in the late 1970's thru to the end in 1984...during this time one of my all time favorites was Raven played by Sharon Gabet...she was the best villain every on a soap opera I've seen. I always looked for her to show up with her own tv show....I still do! Well just thought I'd share my thoughts about TEON. Anyone who had any of the shows and would like to make my day...email me.

To bigger and better things!

Hey, I've never really seen this show, but I learned today that my U.S. History teacher, Mr. Gabet, is sharon gabet's brother. So I'll ask him about her.

Sharon played a wondeful character on this Mystery Soap...her character is Raven and she was awesome! So her brother is a teacher, wow...you must tell him his sister has many fans! The Edge of Night was a great soap I've read it had many more male viewers due to it's mystery store lines, it's a shame it got cancelled. I swore never to watch another soap on ABC since they cancelled it in 1984 and to this day still hold a grudge! Thanks for telling me about her brother!

A bit of trivia. Ever seen "In Her Shoes" with Toni Collette and Cameron Diaz? The friend of the grandmother is played by Francine Beers (Mrs. Lefkowitz) who had a stint on TEON in 1972 as Ernestine Hubbel and 1980-81 as Eileen Goodman #1.

My favorite soap as well and Sharon Gabet was the best on the show and I remember a year and a half before the show was cancelled if she left the show at the time that the show could go. But no Sharon stayed till the end and she had the best lines and the scenes as Raven, where I admired her character. I was mad (and still mad) that ABC cancelled the show but I read so much how it was costing the network money and it wasn't getting ratings. Oh phooey on ABC as I wish it will continue on the air today as I would like to see what Raven would be like, which I hated when they tried to write her as an anti-heroine in the last year and a half on the air which she was great as a vixen and she had so much chemistry with Larkin Malloy (Sky...her last leading man).

I started watching, "The Edge Of Night" in the 80's. One of the most important reasons why the soap was cancelled other than its move from CBS to ABC was that ABC owns all of their soaps.

"The Edge Of Night" is owned by Proctor & Gamble. The character Raven Whitney went from a scheming, calculating vixen to a victim type of heroein type of character in it's last year. When the soap was cancelled in 84. It went to cable or was that the re-runs.

I loved Sharon Gabet's, Raven most of all.

Sincerely,

Sharon wrote a book a few years ago. She's into 'inner peace' and things like that now. It's available on Amazon.
