WHY I HATED THIS MOVIE

Okay so Butch and Sundance are portrayed as cold blooded killers, it's happened before. But geeze, to many innocent people were killed, and then at the end these ruthless cold blooded killers are just beat up and sent to jail. Couldn't they have given us the satisfaction of watching these guys there their just deserts in the same way as their victims?
I am not going to apologize for not giving a spoiler alert because I want to spoil it so you have to watch this BLOODY MESS!

Now that I said this I feel better :D

Well this version is a far cry from the newer version starring Newman and Redford.

I am not trying to compare this to Newman and Redford's movie, My point is that I was sickened because every time Butch pulled a robbery, he would causally pull out his knife and kill somebody. I mean okay some victim goes for his gun,or sets the alarm okay they get shot, but this guy would just knife some body after he collected all the loot, then at he end of the movie he just gets beat up.

To me it is always rude to write a spoiler into a blog or review and not give a warning/alert. Just because you think the film is terrible is not a reason, not even an excuse. You are just acting selfishly in my opinion. And, to do this in, of all places, a web site dealing with movies. Inexcusable.

moewadle,It took me a long time but I have thought about what you said, I do apologize,

reply

Thank you for the apology. I appreciate that.

I hate this movie too. mostly for the same reasons.

The reason they weren't killed in the movie is because they were real-life characters who died much later in their criminal careers. It would have been inaccurate to have them killed in this film.

I enjoyed the movie a great deal myself, esp. that unusual twist during the final raid after all the townsmen have been lured out of town on a false pretext: SPOILER: when the townsfolk start shooting at the outlaws, it's the women doing the shooting!

I didn't hate this one but found it amusing. The Over the Hill Gang was inaccurately portrayed in this 50s western. Compare this version to the 70s 'Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid and you'll see many differences.
