Almost turned it off after 20 seconds

That god-awful song at the beginning of the movie ("Wichita, Wichita ...") almost made me turn the movie off. Why would they start their movie with such corniness? I did kept on watching and it turned out quite OK. I was not aware of such a big "cowboy problem" in old west towns, that was an interesting thing to learn. I liked that there were no real bad guys in this movie, just simple cowboys acting a little too wild. Contrast that with most westerns (including more recent movie about Wyatt Earp) where the good guy is usually pitted against professional gangsters.

In an era when opening title songs were popular, especially for westerns, this one takes the prize for being the worst, and Ritter sounds like he's drunk.

Lloyd Bridges ("Gyp") and his brother were real bad guys, no doubt about it.
