in the Marconne residence

There were a couple of scene's in Lizette's home.In the background there
seemed to be a glass case, with what ? a taxidermy dog inside ? any idea
what that was about ?was it a dog ?

A wonderful movie for old cars -wish I knew what car Mr. Guiness was
driving, and the white sport the shop owner had......
