And Ginger delivered her performance perfectly. I don't know why people complain about her haircut though, she looked cute to me. Actually I think she looked better in her 'older' age than during the 1930s and 40s' prime when she was a partner to Fred Astaire. Loved seeing her as a convict, that was great.

That caught me by surprise also. I thought it was a pretty enjoyable movie. Nice acting all around, especially the three leads.

I agree that Ginger was very good here. Some pretty snappy dialogue delivered with just the right touch. Hadn't seen Brian Keith much (outside of Uncle Bee-Ohl) and thought he was decent as well. Glad I caught this one on TCM. It was well worth the watch.
