THE TALL MEN region 1 DVD -- since 2006

Apparently none of the posters on the thread about the R2 DVD of THE TALL MEN is aware that this film has been out on DVD in the US for over a year.

Unfortunately, it's not available as a single but is part of the three-disc Clark Gable Collection from Fox, featuring the only three films Gable made for that studio during his career -- besides THE TALL MEN, his other 1955 film, SOLDIER OF FORTUNE, and from 1935, CALL OF THE WILD -- the film during the making of which Gable got co-star Loretta Young pregnant, which gave Gable his only child born during his lifetime (his son was born in 1961, a few months after his death)...though in true Hollywood fashion of the time, Loretta pretended she had "adopted" the baby from an orphanage!
