VHS/DVD?

I guess the subject line says it all. Saw it awhile back on TCM, wonderful unshowy direction from Tourneur. Just trying to find a copy

If you still care VCI is putting a completely restored dvd of it out in September and its over 3 hours long!

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

The movie is actually 66 min. The remaining time must be the extras. There is an audio history of Joel McCrea and the movie and some radio shows.

Just watched the VCI DVD release. Unfortunately and clearly stated before the picture starts the original masters are lost so VCI used a version from the BFI library for its digital transfer. Whether care was taken to restore the color picture or not it's generally not a very good-looking image, ranging from pretty bad at times with muddled color, grainy and wavy image to decent but never great. The final part of the movie using some stunning Sedona, Arizona backdrops would undoubtedly look great with a nice print. The audio extras with a bio of McCrea and another on the making of the movie are okay, there's also the movie's trailer.

I don't understand dvdverdict.com's comment in their review that the DVD deserves extra points for a good presentation- as I said the most important aspect- the film image- doesn't get as good a grade from me.
