When will this ever be released on DVD?

Does anybody know what the hold up is on the release of this movie on DVD? Do we have to wait until Dorothy Malone passes on for the owner of the rights to think dollar signs? Didn't Warner Bros. release this on VHS in the early 90s? If so, do they still own the distrubution rights?

It's not a bad little movie. Liberace is pretty much playing himself and I'd rather watch him move his lips than Tom Cruise. Please post some information.

Yes, it was a Warner Bros. release and was on VHS, although I believe it is out of print now. Not a bad movie - regardless what you thought/think of Liberace. The music was good and I didn't think his acting was that bad.
I doubt it will ever be released on DVD. You'll have to do what I did - make your own DVD copy from VHS.

Hi Lightkeeper-1

Is it possible for you to create a torrent for this movie. I cant get a copy of this movie.

I bought a DVD copy of this movie on Ebay for $10.00. The seller is in China, so it takes a few weeks to get it and it comes registered mail. It comes in a cardboard holder instead of a hard DVD case and even though the righting on the holder is in Chinese, the DVD plays in English. It plays and sounds fine.

The seller is Rogercorman88.

If you still have not found a copy of this flick, check TCMs schedule. They showed it this afternoon and the color was pretty darn good so it was either restored or someone had a copy stored properly.
This is one of the best comedies ever made. Liberaces acting is soooo bad that its hysterical. Please don't bother posting arguments to this statement because there is no 2 ways about it and if you think his acting is 'passable', you have no business rating actors... he is simply awful to the point of making one cringe. The best way to view this is to go into it as a comedy otherwise you will be sadly disappointed. I think Liberaces mother cringed .... its that bad (the script certainly didn't help him either). The movie was made prior to 'goof' movies from the Cheech/Chong 'stoner' era/ and/or 'Airplane !' era but one has to wonder if some '50s reefer addict' couldn't resist setting up Liberace on a gamble that just a small segment of the movie going populace would get the inside joke and the 'goof' would sail right over the heads of the 50s straight laced movie producers/main stream Americans. Its right up there with Reefer Madness and Rocky Horror ... a freakin' scream and I don't even 'indulge' !!

*PS - I am not heartless and I do understand that gay men who grew up during the time Liberace was popular may very well relate to the man and find any film in which he appeared a great chance to watch/identify with him and his life/life style ... there are plenty of corny films from the 50s that I still love purely for the nostalgia and their restoration/availability is a source of joy for me ... please try not to take offense here as I do 'get it'.... I often laugh at my self too because of my own corny side. Enjoy with reckless abandon ... the 50s are gone forever and never really existed anyhow ...

There is now a UK release at a budget price on a label called Orbit Media. You need to be able to play Region 2 DVDs. I bought it very cheaply from Amazon's UK site.

Quality is average, verging on poor (no remastering here!), but its an official release for the English speaking market

Sincerely Yours has just been issued on DVD by Warner Archives. See my thread on the subject here.
