Glad to see someone else is watching TCM!

If you were watching on Dish or Direct-TV you can get a DVR box free, if you don't already have one, and record all those TCM movies that are not out on DVD yet. And if you buy another DVR you can burn your own DVD's off that box. I just did. I love this movie! Liberace was a showman, not an actor, and he's at his best here.

I must say that acting is not Liberace's best attribute, but you are so right!!!!! He's a showman to the hilt!!!

I'm watching it on TCM right now, the first time in at least 30 years. I have good memories of this film; I recall enjoying it very much and surprisingly recalled the plot; when I read the summary, I was astonished by how much I remembered. That has to say a lot for the movie because I have watched thousands of films since then.

I see the cable description spitefully gives it ONE star={ Boo to them! They give truly stinky movies a higher score than that! This one looks and sounds beautiful, and Liberace is a sweet, charming, charismatic man. This is not a shoddy production.

I am enjoying it so far=}

I'm here, too! I haven't seen this movie in a really long time but I'm glad I caught it from the beginning (on TCM) and I'm still watching it. I loved it when Tony was telling Linda about some of the classical composers. He made it sound so interesting and then he'd sit and play something of theirs. I do remember the ending and I enjoyed Liberace's wonderful piano playing. Some people can be really mean and cruel, but say what they will...he was a great showman and a very talented performer. (I never played the piano but I did grow up plunking on the one at my Grandmother's house. I sure wish I had learned.)

A little embarrassed to say I can't turn this thing off... :-)

First of all, TMC is my favorite channel. I missed the first half hour of this movie, never having seen it(and I am 70..lol). Loved, loved. loved the music, especially when he played Rhapsody in Blue..my all time favorite Gershwin masterpiece. Liberace is some showman. I remember his early tv shows with his brother and the candelabra on the piano. Whatever his lifestyle was..you can never take anything away from his talent. He was one of a kind.
