Simba ~ an entertaining old movie

I enjoyed this movie, although the scenes shot off location looked pretty hokey by today's standards.
In some ways, it probably captured what most of us thought was the problem in Kenya in the 50's, albeit exaggerated a little in some aspects.
Bogarde makes it worth watching.

It is amusing now to see the old filming techniques.

I'm not sure any of the main cast even went to Kenya. Location shots are nice, but all landscape shots or shots where the main cast is a long way away so you can't see their faces.

It's a good film though with some memorable and quite shocking set-pieces (love Bogarde) and paints a fair picture I think.
