DVD quality

I was wondering if anyone has the DVD pictured on this site. I can get it brand new for $8.00 and I was wondering if it was worth it. (Keeping in mind 3 things: 1.) I love this movie 2.) I love a lot of movies, and when you're paying to become an educated citizen, you just can't afford very many or to buy them that often. 3.) I taped this off of TCM a while back, so I have that VHS copy. )

I would appreciate advice...
I just want to know if I should purchase it or put the money toward another fabulous DVD. (ex: If the picture is worse than on TCM, I think I'll pass...)
Thanks in advance to anyone who offers help!

I loved the movie but was disappointed in the DVD. I was only able to get the movie to run once, but it repeatedly stalled. Subsequent viewings were unsuccessful altogether. The DVD would stall at many points, beginning about 30 minutes into the film. Sometimes, it would skip chapters. Othertimes a message would come on the screen informing me that there is a problem with the DVD. I have not had any problems with other DVDs on my machine. I noticed that the design on the DVD is raised and not flat, which makes me wonder if the raised design interferes with the machine's ability to play it. From personal experience, I think a VHS version is the better choice.

I have an extremely good copy of this movie on DVD from the Bob Hope Film collection. It was brought out just after Bob passed away. In the extras on the DVD, there is a mini-biography for Bob in which Cleveland is spelled Cleavland, twice, I thought that was funny!!!
