The best of the trilogy?

Personally, I liked this one the most. The battle towards the end against 50 or so opponents in the rice field is very good and exciting. What are your opinions on the best film of the trilogy?

I think so, the action was very exciting as you said

For me this was actually the worst of the trilogy.

I was told when viewing the trilogy that the second was the worst film. I was expecting the worst and was pleasantly wrong. I think the pacing may have been off a bit, but that just may be the generation I'm from.

Some of the action scenes were very difficult to view due to darkness, which was frustrating, but overall I thought it was fine.

If I had to rank the trilogy, I'd rate from worst to best: I, II, III. Although, I find all three films to be great. Perhaps I rate them in that order because in each subsequent film, the character grows more and I identified more as time went on.

I feel this is the least good yes the 60 men fight was great but what about the fight with School's Master Brother? my poiny as all the other fights were too short. I would have liked lass number of fights to give each fight a decent amount of time to cover it

I love all three. You need all of them, and they have their own benefits.

I love the set up for the first one and it doesn't immediately make him a samurai, and its theme on being a soul at peace.

The second film has the 60 man fight, we're introduced to Sasaki, and leaves off at an excellent cliff hanger.

The third one has the village scenes, or as I like to call it "Mini Seven Samurai". It also has the Ganryu fight, and ends the series perfectly. My favorite movie trilogy ever.
