Samurai I: Musashi Miyamoto was the Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Picture, and was released in America a little over a year after it's initial Japanese release.

Samurai II: Duel at Ichijoji Temple was released in 1955 in Japan, and didn't see an American release until...1967. What the hell took so long?
