The dog

The death of the dog did not stop me from rooting for the creature, wanting him to be free, but if they made a new version I would hope they have the viewers believe the dog died, his owner and her boyfriend go off on the boat, but in reality they did find the dog and got it some help.It was with them all along or maybe they sent it when it was well enough to travel. When the creature attacks, you still have him being shot, but the dog attacks him, too. Now whether it dies then or lives. That would be up to the writers. It would be sad for it to die, but a little more realistic and emotional. But I'd be just as fine if it lived.
