What happened to Jim and Judy after...

That's a question that always bugs me...what do you suppose happened to Jim and Judy after the point where the movie ended? Not to sound like the father, but ten years down the line, what does everybody think happened to Jim and Judy? What were they doing? Most likely they married, but did they have any kids do you think? What?

Hey, it's Oh am I stupid. Nice point..not.

Jim, Judy, and Plato are FICTIONAL characters. "Judy" didn't die at the hands of one of those "losers". She died because of Jim Beam.

Jim died in a car crash and Judy was drowned by her husband.

I too sometimes think what happens to the main charcters in movies I enjoy.
Eventhough Jim and Judy were close, being brought together because of tragedy would be a slippery slope. If their love remains strong, then after graduation, they should elope;because her dad is a real tool!

So, no one thinks beyond the ending? That's sad. I would assume everyone muses about life after 'the end'. Many of us have romanticized them, as a couple, in the decades past. They were both teetering, and needed someone to hold on to. Jim seemed like an upfront kind of guy, looking to settle down and be a man. We can assume Judy found comfort and stability in the relationship. But they were only kids!(what grade were they in?), and it may not have been their time to stay together. Or, they may have found the glue that held them together.
But it's just a story. we can imagine, but we'll never know. Who wants to write next chapter? I wonder how many stories have been written on this very premise, with different names and situations? (or which stories were the impulse for this story...)

If memory serves, Jim is 18 and Judy is 16 in the movie.
