Easily top five Alec
An otherness, a photographic aesthetic, the costumes, the lighting, Alec's agelessness, its really quite cool. Black and white and widescreen (1955!). Feels very stylized to me (aren't the best ones stylized?), and it transcends any regionalism it was written for.
And just over 90 minutes! (which is the way i like it, life's too short)
