In the scene where Edmond O'Brien smashes a plate on the floor, I could swear that Carroll O'Connor is sitting at the table right behind him. The shape of the head and face is right, then he lights up a cigar and you could swear it is Archie Bunker.

After my initial post I did some digging and realized that he was not anywhere near Hollywood at the time, so...it was just wishful thinking.
