Long shots

I'm sure this has been pointed out, and it's hard to miss. But did anybody else notice that there are no cuts during sequences involving dialog? None at all, this lends itself to 6 minute shots. So aside from being a beautiful film, it is also beautifully done

I loved it, reminded me of Tarkovsky, despite C. T. Dreyer came first, duh, but I seen Tarkovsky before Dreyer. But i digress. I loved the long takes to make a long story short, that's how you get it done.

There are, crucially, some cuts in the very last scene. We cut to close ups of the little girl as her uncle "ressurects" the mother. And it cuts to close ups of Inger and Mikkel embracing when she seemingly does come back to life.
