I agree.
One bad line should definitely make you hate an entire film. Despite the fact that the whole film is amazing with great story and performances, that one line should make you forget everything else...
And really it wasn't even a bad line considering the age of the child. I think she did exactly what she was directed to do.
sharethe problem is that, for me, that one line delivery stays true to the overall style of the movie - not graceful or well-pieced and at times aggravating towards dumb.
shareWell the problem for me is that the overall style of the movie isn't any of those things you mention. Perhaps it's the way the film strikes you, but I feel your interpretation is flawed. Regardless, you're entitled to your opinion and I realize the film doesn't appeal to everyone.
