High Technology Movie

I couldn't help noticing that this movie had a lot of scenes of telephone technology with the operators, dispatchers, plotters and switch rooms. It was kind of cool actually, seeing "cutting edge" 50s technology in a movie. I bet a single chip could do the work of that whole huge room.

The telephone technology was probably the only thing that motivated me to watch the entire movie.

Did you know phone hackers evolved into computer hackers and programmers? Several books cover the evolution from telegraph to phone to computer technology. Interesting stuff.
