The scenes in the Catholic church in Coronado in the evening bring back memories - of the sea shore two thousand miles away and a century later.

I used to go to Cape May, New Jersey in late spring and early fall. At dusk and twilight the sea breeze comes in and cools the land after a hot day.

At that time on Saturday evenings I would go with my grandmother to Saturday evening services at the Catholic church of Our Lady Star of the Sea on the Washington Street Mall.

And every time I see the evening scenes in the church in Coronado it reminds me of Saturday evening services at Cape May so much I can almost feel the evening air again.
