Have just watched this film on TV. Many moons ago back in the 1950's I had a 78rpm record of the theme song sung by no other than Jimmy Young, radio disc jockey. It was a favourite record of mine at the time. Couldn't help noticing in the film that the words of the song varied somewhat from the record. Young's version included the words-
The man from Laramie
he had so many notches on his gun, everyone
admired the fearless stranger - danger
was this man's destiny
and you never saw
a man outdraw
the man from Laramie.
Have watched the film only once but can't recall the above words in the film's theme. Actually the above words don't reflect accurately James Stewart's character in the film - he certainly was no gunman!
