-Hate barbwire(restricts freedom)

I've always thought of it as a cowboy 'how-to' film.

Makes my top 10 Westerns list.

Probably my top 5 because I have a bias in favor of Douglas as a unique actor\character.

And add this one.....if you can't tell one saddle from another and you can't use a rope properly you will be considered a "kid" and forced to drink non-alcholic beverages even though you are 32 years old.

Great running gag in the pic as they tip-toe on 'the paper' to view

the indoor plumbing.

Those are all good.

I'd add a tenet which is sadly in use today: Get the government to defend your right to prevent others from using property that isn't yours.

and

"The tragedy of the commons:" If something (e.g. land) belongs to everyone, it actually belongs to no one. Note the handling of "public" lands today.

A whore is more honest than a "society" woman who uses sex to manipulate others.

Cassidy's daughter (Myrna Hansen) is the hottest woman in this movie!
