Some uncredited stars (SPOILER WARNING)

There were several stars that were uncredited in this movie. It wasn't unusual for this to happen at that time but I thought some of them had enough of an important part to be shown. A few extra seconds of credit time wouldn't have made the movie that long but that was the way it was done. A reviewer has already mentioned a very young Angie Dickinson who playsk Kitty.

Others include Claude Akins who plays one of the bad guys. He is the one that tries to shoot Mitchum with a hat trick.

Florenz Ames plays Doc Hughes and I thought he had enough of a speaking part to be included and also because his character is important.

Joe Barry plays the cattle barron Dade Holman who runs everything in a ruthless way. He is not seen until the last few minutes of the movie but his presence is felt throughout the whole movie and his character though absence in most of the movie he is very important and worth including in the credits.

This is just my opinion. Movies were done different back then as far as giving credits. Perhaps to a fault they have gone to the opposite extreme nowadays. :)

Hey King one movie (I think it was one of the Naked Gun movies with Leslie Nelson) even mentioned the name of the divorce lawyers of the producer. :)
It was a gag but it does verify the extremes they go to in the credits as you wrote.

Sorry, wtl, but the great comedic actor from the Naked Gun films is actually Leslie Nielsen.

I could swear the boy standing with 2 other children in the doorway at the Strawberry Festival Dance is Johnny Crawford aka Mark McCain of The Rifleman.
