Did anyone read the book?

I just read it and then turned around and read it again. I love this guy. I wish I could have heard him speak. He was an amazing man.

A series of Dr. Marshall's sermons are available on cassette tape & CD. Go to www.petermarshallministries.com, click on "Former Senate Chaplain Dr. Peter Marshall." Be careful though, his son's sermons are also available for purchase only he is Reverend Peter Marshall.

Absolutely love the book. Have read it two or three times.

One of the most inspirational books I've ever read.

I've read the book, it really is a great read. I also loved Catherine's "Christy" stories too.

I have indeed read the book, which reveals an extraordinary minister during his time. It is easy to see why he was so well-respected as a minister. Great book, plus Catherine Marshall is just a very talented writer - love her Christy stories, too!

I read the book many years ago, discovered "Christy" and then went on to read most of the rest of the books Catherine Marshall wrote about her life with Peter and with Christ. This was back in the late 60's. I saw the movie earlier than that however and then saw the book and got it in paperback. My favorite vignette from the book is this one: if a man replaces a board on a boat every year and when he is finished with replacing all the boards is it still the same boat?

To the original poster: If you don't already know, the DVD of this film contains (I think) multiple sermons delivered by Dr. Marshall as audio-only recordings.

reply

The DVD only has one Audio sermon.
