The swim-up pop-in

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie, even the "dated" scenes.

I loved the part where they swam over to the friends' house and did a pop-in. They just show up dripping wet and they're like, "Hey guys!" LOL...

Agree. It's hilarious! The house they visited still stands... I've seen it!

Is the house "on location" at Repulse Bay, Hong Kong, China? It looks more like the US to me, California even.

its in Hong Kong. the whole movie was filmed on location.

LOL! Just saw this for the first time and I also got a kick out of her saying, "Let's swim over to So-and-so's and drop in on them."

I thought it was supposed to add to the whole glamor of their budding romance and "exotic" life-style. Swimming in the ocean or in a pool was considered pretty glamorous by the target audience for this movie. (Swimming in a local river or "crick" was not.)

Just finished watching "Love Is..." and really didn't care for it. What caught my attention was that the Holden and Jones character's clothes and belongings were untouched where they left them after what, it seems, was an hours long visit.

The swim-up pop-in seemed kinda weird to me. Sure they were expecting her, but to just show up soaking wet and with her married "friend"/swim partner - I would've thought that would've seemed a little odd and even a bit scandalous to her friends. That said, I thoroghly ejoyed seeing Bill in those little shorts showing off his very nice build - but I think he shouldn't have had to shave his beautiful torso!
