Hong Kong has a subtropical climate year around and rarely goes below 55 degrees. Yet during the entire movie, they look like they're living comfortably in the house and no sweat rolling off them. There was no air conditioning in people's homes then! How did they stay comfortable?

Because it was filmed in California.

Because it's a love story, not a documentary about the climate of Hong Kong.
